Is the Motorola RDU2020 waterproof? No, the RDU2020 isn’t waterproof.  That said, it is designed to be used in moisture rich environments and can be used in the rain.  If you find you’ve saturated the radio, it is best to turn it off and allow it to dry for a day before powering it back on. 

Can I program the Motorola RDU2020 to work with my existing two way radios? The answer depends on your two way radios.  Give us a call and  we’ll walk through this with you and offer suggestions. 

How much distance with the Motorola RDU2020 cover?  The Motorola RDU2020 will cover a Super Walmart and its parking lot.  Ideally, we suggest you consider the Motorola RDU4100 if your facility is larger than a Super Walmart.

  I like the RDU2020 radio a lot because there are only 2 channels, and it is really easy to use. We don’t need a lot of channels, so this radio was perfect for us.

  Coverage wasn't very good

  We've been using these for a while in our facility and wasn't getting good coverage. Two Way Direct explained how this radio has 2 watts of power and there were more options in the same price range with double the power. Coverage is much better now. Thanks for the recommendation Matt!

  I thought we needed to stick with this model since it was what we had. Didn't like these radios. Two Way Direct explained how they had other less expensive options. I got different radios through them at a better price and actually like them more. Nice!
