Introducing The Motorola Curve : Motorola's First WI-FI Enhanced Two-Way Radio

Posted by Two Way Direct on 3rd Feb 2022

Motorola has introduced its first business communication device with both Wi-FI and voice assistance capabilities. The Motorola Curve is designed as a solution to combat the shift in shopping behaviors, shortages in staff, and increasing health and safety concerns.

The Curve features an ergonomic design that does not interfere with or interrupts routine tasks amongst your employees. It comes equipped with a simple push-to-talk button that allows for easy operation, and a color LED indicator to alert your employees when it is in use. The top programmable buttons are also equipped with many of Motorola’s legacy features such as direct call, call all available, private reply, scan, and mute. These features are ideal for retail-type industries because they allow certain employees to be alerted while not disturbing others.

Wi-Fi Enhanced Two-Way Radios

Motorola introduced a new feature for this radio model that works off the Motorola Portal to enable the use of Wi-Fi instead of the MURS frequency when it is convenient. There is a monthly fee to use this feature that can be purchased through the Motorola Portal.

The Curve is compatible with DTR and DLR series radios and callboxes. So, if you’re currently using any of these Motorola models, the transition will be smooth and seamless.
