Yes. We use these outside in the rain all the time and they are fine when they get a little wet. If you drop your entire radio in the water and it is not water resistant, then you got yourself a problem.

Is it still safe to use? I got another Motorola radio headset that was similar to this one and it was water resistant so would this one be too?

I like to use the 56518 at work AND at home-Ha. My kids get a kick out of playing with it. Best thing is that it still works after they do and my kids destroy most things they play with.

This is a very reasonable price for a Motorola ear set. I purchased one about a month ago from another store online and it was almost double. This one just arrived in the mail today and I am looking forward to using it.

I just got this earpiece on a limb because I was sick of buying stuff that didn’t work. So I didn’t know much about it except that it would work with my dtr radio. It is an awesome earpiece. I just put in an order for a new set of them for my co-workers.

The 56518 is easy to use. I found one similar at a store, but it was crap and didn't work well. This one is really loud and works very well.
