Bridging the gap between bands

The Icom IC-FR3000 two way radio repeater is available in VHF frequency and has 50 watts of power with 32 channels.  Two Way Radio repeaters amplify the signal strength of standard handheld units for extended coverage and range.

The IC-FR3000 series repeater bridges the gap between bands, and the repeater looks as good as it performs. A rugged heat-sink, large cooling fans and a high performance power module provide the repeater with a stable 50W at full duty cycle operation. A built-in backup system supports automatic switching to an external power supply (13.6V DC) if the AC power supply fails. The IC-FR3000 is also capable of telephone interconnect.

Two Way Direct rates this repeater as a Professional Series Device with a 4.5-Star Durability Rating based on Military Specification Standards. The MIL-STD-810 series of standards are issued by the United States Army's Developmental Test Command, to specify various environmental tests to simulate conditions that the IC-FR3000 will encounter in the field.
