The Icom IC-F43G Radio has been discontinued and replaced with the Icom F60V Radio.  The F43G was a professional series handheld radio available in UHF frequency and had 4-5 watts of power with 256 channels.

The IC-43G series was suitable for a variety of needs — large or small, mobile or stationary. Whether you are a large-scale construction site, warehouse, hospital or hotel, or a small on-the-go messenger service, this radio provided the built-in flexibility to handle your communication needs. The MIL-STD-810 series of standards are issued by the United States Army's Developmental Test Command, to specify various environmental tests to simulate conditions that the F43G will encounter in the field.
