The Icom IC-F221B two way radio base station is available in UHF frequency band, and has 45-50 watts of power with 128 channels and a fixed Power Supply.
The F221b is a step-up from the F221sb model. Noticeable differences include an added 8 character alphanumeric LCD display as well as a substantial increase in channels from 8 to 128 channels.
Two Way Direct rates the F221b UHF base station as a Standard Series Base Station with a 4-Star Durability Rating based on Military Specification Standards. The MIL-STD-810 series of standards are issued by the United States Army's Developmental Test Command, to specify various environmental tests to simulate conditions that the IC-F221B will encounter in the field.
